From Coaster Hater To Coaster Lover Before this summer, I absolutely hated roller coasters and only enjoyed the crazy high-up swings at amusement parks (which is weird, I know). I was too scared to try something new because roller coasters simply seemed terrifying. However, this summer, something in me changed, and Zooey and mom ended up getting me to go to Six Flags with them. From that point on, roller coasters became my new favorite thing. Six Flags Trip 1: Excited But Skeptical For our first summer visit to Six Flags, I was excited but skeptical. A Camp Kid In June, I got to have one week alone with my mom and dad, for Zooey went away to performing arts camp at Camp Mikell up in Toccoa, Georgia. As much as I knew I’d miss her, I couldn’t wait to get that time alone with my parents. And She’s Off! When it was time for Zooey to head off to camp, we said our goodbyes and made sure she had all her luggage, especially all the care packages of candy and notes and food we had put together for her. Carnival Extravaganza  Here We Go! Last weekend, was my very first high school junior/senior prom! It was themed as Carnival Extravaganza and was an absolute blast. The dance was filled with decorations, fabulous clothing, party games, dancing, desserts, and upbeat music. There were prizes to win, brownies to eat, pictures to take, and so much more. However, the celebration didn't just begin on the dance floor, but during the preparation it took to finally get there.
