Mamma Mia!

CHSPA

Last Friday, I got to see Carrollton High School's performing arts production of Mamma Mia. I would like to congratulate everyone involved, for the musical was absolutely spectacular! The singing was beautiful, the dancing awesome, and the music stayed true to the movie with fantastic scenery, costumes, and props.

Favorite Musical

Mamma Mia has always been my family's very favorite musical. My sister and I have grown up watching it over and over again, signing along to the songs and dancing to every beat. Last summer, we even got to watch Mamma Mia 2, Here We Go Again, in theaters.

Taylor!

We decided to go Friday night because my best friend, Taylor, was starring in a lead role that night. I'm so happy we went because she was absolutely fabulous, and I was so excited to support her, even though I had the SAT early the next morning. Taylor was the perfect person for her role, and I was so proud of her talent and courage and determination. She has one of my favorite voices, and I can't wait to see what she does next.

Front Row Seats

All the performers did an amazing job through every scene as I watched from the very front row with my mom, sister, friend Haley, and her mother. I myself have gotten to perform with the CHSPA in the past, and I have got to say that this was the best musical I have seen on our stage yet. They did such a great job incorporating the scripts, music, clothing, and scenery form the original, whilst adding their own twists to it. They stayed true to the plot, and the actors truly embodied their characters and the parts they had to play within the story.

Break A Leg!

I can't wait for Carrollton High School's next musical, for I'm eager to see if they can beat the quality of performance they acted in this year. I'm so thrilled I got to watch my favorite musical come to life through my friends portraying my favorite characters. Everyone should be so proud of all the work they accomplished, and until next time, break a leg!
