Sleepover Weekend

A New Kind Of Friday & Saturday

Last weekend, I got to spend the night with my very close friend, Haley Sapp. She invited me over on Friday to hang out and spend the day with her on Saturday. I hadn't spent the night over at someone's house in a while and couldn't wait to spend time with her outside of class.

Goodbyes

After school ended Friday afternoon, we left Spanish and headed towards my mom's classroom to pick up my overnight bag. I said my goodbyes to my mom and we went on our way to Haley's car. We got in, buckled up, and went to pick up her 10 year old brother, Dylan, from after-school. After that, we then drove to her house, while listening to music and talking.

Doggies!

Once at her house, I dropped off my stuff and we drank some sodas. Dylan showed me his book collection and even wanted me to read one of his favorite books. Then, Haley let her dogs into the house. There was a very sweet dog named Coco, a wild puppy named Bodhi, and a fashionable little dog in a sweater named Maggie.

American Pie Pizzeria

Once her parents got home, Haley and I headed off to dinner. It was an amazing experience, for I had never been in a car with only a friend before, let alone go out to eat without a group or family. We ate American Pie pizza, me eating pepperoni pizza and Haley eating banana peppers, pineapple, tomato, and spinach pizza. It was a crazy pizza, but was still really good. Then, we drove back home and  watched Say Anything, while eating popcorn and peanut M&M's, until we fell asleep.

Off We Go

The next morning, we ate cinnamon rolls and got dressed to go out with her brother and mother. First, we stopped by Walmart to pick up a few things, and her little brother bought all of us sodas. Then, we ate lunch at a really good wings place. We went to a small book and record store, and even stopped in a little thrift store. Lastly, we went to Susie Q's to look at prom dresses.

Susie Q's

At Susie Q's, dresses lined the walls in all sorts of styles and colors. Eventually, Haley tried on a beautiful black and gold dress that was perfect for prom. She ended up getting it and only made prom even more exciting for us, even though it's still a few months away. Then, they drove me back home at the end of a great day.

Long Awaited Adventure

Overall, I had a great weekend with Haley and her family. We ate good food, watched movies, went to shops, and had so much fun. It was great getting to be an independent teenager and hang out together in an awesome and long awaited adventure. I can't wait until next time!
