An Intro From Me To You

Welcome

My name is Madison Anna Bush, and I am a first year International Baccalaureate Diploma candidate. I was born in the amazing borough of Manhattan and left New York City when I was five. Currently, I am living in Villa Rica, Georgia and attending Carrollton High School to receive a great education and experience within this programme. Both my father and mother work at the high school, and my younger sister attends the junior high. They have always supported and encouraged my decision to be a part of this academic journey.

This portfolio will help to express my love of creativity, activity, and service. I hope to be able to reflect on my experiences and projects through writing and to inspire others to participate in a more productive, selfless, and imaginative lifestyle.

Creativity, Activity, Service

I have had many educational and uplifting experiences with being artistic, active, and committed.
Singing in choir, dancing with others, and playing instruments with friends has taught me to love the small things in life. Singing has helped me learn about different cultures and time periods. Dancing brings me closer to family and friends. When I play the piano or guitar, I realize how great it feels to sit down and concentrate on something that's dear to me.

I am also very passionate about staying fit and exercising. I love archery, running, and volleyball very much. When I'm focused on my sports it helps me relieve any worries I  may have. Archery has taught me precision and running has taught me dedication. I have been a part of the volleyball community for many years and am now the manager of the varsity team. Sports have helped me to stay healthy and form relationships.

At the moment, I am vice president of Friends of Rachel at my school. This club has taught me to be so grateful for everything I have that many do not. I have participated in many service activities because of Friends of Rachel. I have volunteered at soup kitchens and fundraisers. We have created gifts and packages to those in need. I have also volunteered at the animal shelter on multiple occasions. These opportunities have taught me the importance of compassion and service to others.

Well-rounded World

In the future, I will continue to gain many more experiences involving creativity, activity, and service. I hope to volunteer at our local theater to make sets and paint. I want to become a volunteer assistant at our recreational center and help manage volleyball for little kids, as well as be on the school team. CAS will be a major contributor to making me a more well-rounded person both physically and mentally!

  1. Wow Madison! You have so much going on and you still make time to be there for others and those in need! I loved your blog entry and I definitely feel like I know you a little better. I'm especially proud of you for the role you play in Friends of Rachel. It is an incredible club and it is also near and dear to my heart because we also did Friends of Rachel when I worked at CJHS. I look forward to working with you over the next 2 years. I'm excited to see all the great things I know you will accomplish!
